The BD Pharmaceutical Systems - Greater Asia Integrated Technical Center (GAITC) was inaugurated in SIP on June 13, marking an all-around upgrading of the Suzhou laboratory of BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company), a global leading medical technology company.

BD started operations in SIP in 1995 and since then has increased investments in this area several times. The Suzhou lab passed the CNAS (China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment)/ISO17025 certification in 2018, boasting labs and clean rooms with a total area of 3,500 square meters.

The GAITC has been recognized under the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) system, featuring expanded comprehensive testing and quality analyzing services as well as optimized systematic service functions, which allow quick response to global market demand. It will provide precise, quality support for high-quality development of pharmaceutical enterprises in the Asia-Pacific region.
